About Wendy
Wendy Babcock started as a girl scribbling songs to survive — hiding her words in notebooks no one ever saw. Decades later, those same words would become the backbone of a career built on one conviction: that a personal story, told with intention, is the most powerful authority-building tool a woman can have.
She built a community movement focused on stopping online bullying — grew it into something real, earned a TEDx stage, and watched it get systematically dismantled by the very people she'd served. The backlash was swift. The silence that followed was loud. And rather than shrink, she built something new.
WHEN Stories™ was that something new — an authority-building multimedia platform that helps speakers, coaches, and entrepreneurs transform their personal stories into professional credibility. She built it deliberately, grew it into a national presence with Certified Facilitators across multiple states, and watched it work in a way her earlier movement never got the chance to.
It was only looking back — at the community movement, the TEDx stage, the backlash, the rebuild, and everything WHEN Stories™ had become — that the pattern finally had a name. She wrote it down. That became The Invisible Line: her book on the truth about visibility, authority, and the social dynamics no one warns high-achieving women about. It names the difference between ego-centric visibility — about you, for you, creating noise — and authority-centric visibility, earned through genuine contribution that builds trust that compounds. It introduces the Proximity Paradox, the SHOW vs. GROW framework, and the WHEN Story method that turns personal narrative into professional credibility on stage, in content, and in every room where someone needs to believe in you before they buy from you.
She's a Forbes Entrepreneur of Impact nominee, a Small Business of the Year recipient, and a Hollywood Independent Music Award–winning songwriter — because whether she's on a stage, in a studio, or in a room full of women who think their story isn't worthy, Wendy knows how to move people.
Bold in fuchsia, sharp in strategy, and relentless about visibility. She's part coach, part firestarter, and the best friend with a mic who will hype you up and then hand you the stage so the world never forgets your name.
The invisible line is real. She crossed it, got knocked down, and crossed it again. Now she redefines the lines herself.
